My liege count Albert III,

Today Otto was hung for the crime of recieving stolen property on the 3rd of May 1364 at the age of 24.

The arrest was made by Sir Affredd of the City Guard, at the unoccupied farm of Southfarthing. Sir Affredd recounted the following testimony in court last week, which I supply here for your records:
Otto has a long history of banditry in his past, and is known to be a ranking partner of the organisation of the Widow operating in and around the county of Gorizia. It is hoped that this arrest will mark a significant reduction of the affairs of that group. The castle blacksmith Gerik, father of Otto has requested that it be made known that he and his family have remained external to the affairs of Otto, and that they disowned him two years ago when his activities became known to them. It is with regret that I must alert you to the fact that though Gerik is honourable, his loyalty to his son can be proved to be greater than to that of you my lord. Had he truly had the County in his heart he would surely have alerted the authorities to the activities of his son some time ago. Otto was the architect behind the recent bandit raid against the Bishop and yourself, as named independantly by the three surviving bandits from that raid upon their capture.
your humble servant Ralph, junior squire to the Justicar
